lack只有名词和动词两种词性,作为动词,是可及物的
做什么的能力,固定搭配是ability to do sth
as...as作比较的两者应该是同一概念的东西,这里应该是能力的比较
improve后面不用加up
同等概念grammar对应的该是vocabulary,这样更好

机会=opportunities; 语法=grammar; 单词=词汇 vocabulary; 讲英语的能力=English-speaking ability;满意的程度=satisfactory level.
